Cycling to and around the island

Bringing your bike to the Island is really easy. You can hop on the ferry in Split, Brac, Hvar, Mljet or Dubrovnik and head to the island. On some ferries, you just pay the passenger fare while on fast catamaran ferries you have to pay additional bike fare. Your bike will be safe on board the ferry while you cross the channels between islands or the mainland. Most routes to the island are not exclusively dedicated to cycling so you have to be careful while riding to be safe regarding cars, pedestrians, or hikers. The majority of the off-road cycle routes are bike-friendly and are a safe option for all the family and children.
